This is a quirky alphabet book that travels through the letters on an avalanche of apples.
Alpaca loves living with her friends Ants, Ape, Alligator, Albatross, Anteater and Aardvark in A, even though her allergy to apples make her feel unwell. She doesn’t complain but just makes sure she stays far from the apple tree. Until a series of events sends apples hurtling her way and through the whole alphabet. She ends up in W! As Alpaca walks through X, Y and Z she feels so much better, being away from the apples, she wonders if she should make a permanent move?
But her friends are important, and they don’t want to lose Alpaca to another letter! An encounter with the Whale presents the friends with an ingenious idea to solve their problem! The story is not only about the alphabet and allergies, but also touches on friendship, staying together and caring for each other.
We enjoyed this book with its unique, whimsical story. The illustrations are funny and refreshing!
