The Mouse And The Moon by Gabriel Alborozo

This lovely story starts in the dark, in a wild and broken place. The little mouse is lonely, yet he is cheerful and content, maybe because he does have one friend, the moon. Despite the moon’s silence,  mouse pours his heart out to his friend. He just put down the moon’s silence to the distance between them.

The illustrations are mainly black, illuminated by the bright moonlight. Mouse decides to search for his friend and sets off through the wood. In a beautiful twist, mouse finds his friend up close and actually starts a conversation! But only when morning comes and sunlight colours the woods, does he realise the truth of what was happening.

This tale is so heartwarming that it will definitely leave you with a smile on your face and a glow in your heart.
