This ‘interactive’ picture book will really get your toddlers active and giggling!
The book opens to a very dark page and we can just make out someone sitting in the darkness. To get some light, we need a clap of hands.
That someone turns out to be a very grumpy crocodile named Carter. He is lost and needs help to get home. Even though he has threatened to eat us, the narrator cautions crocky that there will be no eating in the book, phew!
The narrator comes up with a great idea to get this grouchy croc home. A door is needed, of course! So the little ones have to trace along the dotted circle to create the door, while at the same time, focusing their thoughts to think of somewhere wet!! Absolutely love this concept of sharpening the concentration.
Lots of fun to be had after this.
The portly croc needs to be jiggled, wiggled and pushed to get through the doors. The die-cut doors are just awesome. The young imaginations get a workout too. Each time Carter ends up in the wrong spot, we get to put it right by thinking up a better place. Our favourite part was turning the book upside down and shaking out all the snow! We thoroughly enjoyed this book with its funny and superbly engaging plot and cool illustrations!
